We need a wide variety of different foods to provide the right amounts of nutrients for good health. An unhealthy diet increases the risk of many diet-related diseases.
I have a few simple guidelines I recommend to my patients:
If God made it-Eat it. If man made it-don’t touch it. That means eat fruits, vegetables, and protein; avoid processed foods and sugars. Drink plenty of water and minimize caffeinated drinks, alcohol and most of all sodas.
A few tools I use to help educate and guide my patients toward better choices are Food Diaries, a Symptom Survey, Daily Intake of Fruits and Vegetables, muscle testing for food, chemical or other sensitivities, 21 Day Purification Program and the Biophotonic Scanner.
